Monotypes and Drawings
I love to draw with pencil, biro, charcoal...almost anything on almost any surface. I also enjoy creating monotypes. These are one-off prints, so that each one is unique. I find that the process frees-up my drawing and expression. Usually I 'ink-up' on a sheet of glass or laminated board. Instead of using a roller, I like to paint or sponge on the surface to add an interesting dimension to the work, then draw using all sorts of tools from cotton buds which help create a chunkier line, to the end of paint brushes. Recently, I have been using oil paints to make the prints, as I enjoy their fluidity.
